Day 6 Update
Today, there was a very early start (up at 5.30am, on the road at 6am) to make the long journey up to Bristol, over the Severn Bridge, into Wales and along to Carmarthen but the early start certainly paid off! Lavinia, Harry and Paul made good progress in the morning, travelling through Bridgwater and onto Bristol. Their first stop was the Severn Bridge and they made it there before 10am! An impressive result for a 100-year-old car with no travel on the motorway.
After crossing the original Severn Bridge, they made it to Wales, travelling along the A48 to Bridgend. After a quick pit stop, it was time to hit the road again and they reached Carmarthen around 2.30pm, a county town on the River Towy. Here Harry and Paul met some old friends who generously treated them to dinner.
It was a disappointing evening with no one attending the community talk scheduled, however Harry and Paul still managed to speak with several people and left information leaflets with the Rotary Club to distribute. It is frustrating considering how many people are struggling with their mental health and could benefit from Reclaim Life being brought into their community but they will continue to spread the word!
Tomorrow they are headed north, along the Welsh coast, to the Museum of Land Speed at the Pendine Sands and then onto Aberystwyth and Porthmadog 🌻
